Legal Assistant – Court of Protection
Position Overview:
The firm’s highly successful Court of Protection department is seeking a legal assistant to join its growing team. This is a rare opportunity to join the leading Court of Protection team in Wales, which is ranked in Chambers & Partners 2024 Guide and was named Public Law Team of the Year at the Wales Legal Awards 2022.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide administrative and organisational support to the team’s fee earners.
Qualifications & Skills:
The candidate should:
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and maintain a busy team diary that works to tight court deadlines.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be experienced in the general administrative duties associated with a litigation team e.g. speaking with new and potential clients, preparing court bundles and liaising with third parties (including the court and counsel).
- Be organised and proactive to thrive in a busy department that works within a fast paced and high-pressured environment; and audio typing using a digital dictation system.
Additional Information:
The role can be based in both the Cardiff and Swansea offices, with flexibility between offices as well as the possibility for hybrid work arrangements after the initial training period.
